Sure Tesco put an asterisk in gay in case it might offend, but who wouldn’t want their own stereotypically gay doll. Best of all, it’s targeted at children ages 3-4, because if your kids’ pre-school friends haven’t come out yet, who else will be their gay best friend.

    The Paddy Power and Stonewall UK campaign to support gay footballers hit a snag this week as several Premier League teams announced they had instructed their players not to wear the rainbow laces provided by the campaign, due to technical reasons.

    Top English football teams plan to boycott rainbow lace campaign

    Since the campaign to get professional footballers to wear rainbow shoe laces during this weekend’s games launched on Monday, top English teams (a group of teams known as the Premiere League) have announced they have instructed their players not to participate due to technical reasons. Manchester United is the latest team to join the boycott against the anti-homophobia campaign which also includes Tottenham Hotspurs, Liverpool and Norwich. More

    Nigerian university student ‘proves’ gay marriage is wrong with magnet experiment

    News surfaced this week that a grad student at the University of Lagos in Nigerian conducted an experiment with magnets which disproves gay marriage. Chibuihem, ‘an award winning student’ concludes from his experiments that as the north and south poles of magnets attract each other and same poles repel each other that can only mean “that man cannot attract another man because they are the same”.

    2013 summer of outings

    Coming out must be getting easier for famous people, finally. Lately there was been a line of stars coming out gay and most in very blasé statements. It’s curious. We care deeply about famous people we will never meet and want to know their secrets, but does knowing someone’s sexuality really that important. The gay community needs role-models and heroes, but why don’t we look within? Then again, as has been the case with figures from history, when someone comes out it helps justify exactly why they are so uber. More
